PMGC 2021 League Stage East: Teams, Groups, schedule and format revealed

The PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 Season 1, aka PMGC 2021, will begin on November 30. The league stage of this tournament will last for three weeks and will end on December 19.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the first phase of the event has been split into two regions: East and West. The overall prize pool of the event is USD 6 million.

PMGC 2021 East format

The top 20 teams from the Eastern (SouthAsia/SEA/MENA/Korea/China and Japan) will compete in league stages lasting three weeks.

The PMGC 2021 East Season 1 will be divided into three stages

1.) PMGC 2021 League Stage (Qualifier round for Super Weekend)

1. Five groups of four teams, depending on their groupings as provided by the organisers.
2. Five matches will be played every Tuesday and Wednesday, with ten matches played each week.
3. The top 16 teams from each week of the league stage will book their slots for the Super Weekend of the same week.

Schedule for League Weekend of PMGC 2021:

• 30th November, Tuesday: League stage Week 1, Day 1
• 1st December, Wednesday: League stage Week 1, Day 2
• 7th December, Tuesday: League stage Week 2, Day 1
• 8th December, Wednesday: League stage Week 2, Day 2
• 14th December, Tuesday: League stage Week 3, Day 1
• 15th December, Wednesday: League stage Week 3, Day 2

2.) PMGC 2021 Super Weekend Stage

1. The top 16 teams from Super Weekend qualification will play Super Weekend every week.
2. Five matches will be played every Friday, Saturday and Sunday for three weeks, with 15 matches played each week.
3. The Super Weekend points table will decide the actual league final standings.

• 3rd December, Friday: Super Weekend Week 1, Day 1
• 4th December, Saturday: Super Weekend Week 1, Day 2
• 5th December, Sunday: Super Weekend Week 1, Day 3
• 10th December, Friday: Super Weekend Week 2, Day 1
• 11th December, Saturday: Super Weekend Week 2, Day 2
• 12th December, Sunday: Super Weekend Week 2, Day 3
• 17th December, Friday: Super Weekend Week 3, Day 1
• 18th December, Saturday: Super Weekend Week 3, Day 2
• 19th December, Sunday: Super Weekend Week 3, Day 3

After the nine days of Super Weekend, the cumulative points of the teams will decide the top 16 teams to qualify for the league finals of PMGC 2021.

3.) League Finals of PMGC 2021

The top 16 qualified teams will compete in 18 matches over a three-day period from 22–24 December, at the end of which the top nine will qualify for the PMGC 2021 Grand Final.
