YouTube Gaming Reveals Top 5 Most Watched Live Games of 2020

YouTube Gaming has revealed that 2020 is the biggest year yet with 100 billion watch time hours and 40 million active gaming channels 

Out of 100 billion watch time hours, 10 billion were from YouTube Gaming Live Stream,signalling a strong competition for Amazone owned Twitch.The Google owned YouTube said out over 40 million active gaming channels 

• More than 80,000 gaming channels hit 100,000 subscriber 
• More than 1,000 gaming channels hit 5 million subscribers
• More than 350 gaming channels hit 10 million subscribers

Top 5 live games watched in 2020 on YouTube

1. MINECRAFT

Minecraft, published by Mojang Studios and Sony Entertainment was the most viewed game on YouTube, with live streams and uploaded videos watched this year were viewed more than 200 billion times, and Minecraft was released in 2011, gaming is still great and still breaking records 9 years after its release. People enjoy the exploration and world-building aspect of the game. 

2.GARENA FREE FIRE 

Free Fire, published by Garena was the second most viewed game on YouTube, with live streams and uploaded videos watched this year were viewed more than 72 billion times, and Free Fire was released in 2017, the game became the most downloaded title from this year's, as it performed over 220 million installations. It also claimed the Esports Mobile Game of the Year Award at the recent Esports Awards 2020. 

3. FORTNITE 

Fortnite, published by Epic Games was the third most viewed game on YouTube, with live streams and uploaded videos watched this year were viewed more than 67 billion times, and Fortnite was released in 2017,  the game has been very popular worldwide and it became an instant hit with 10 million players playing it in the first two weeks after its release. 

4. GRAND THEFT AUTO 5 (GTA 5) 

Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA 5), published by Rockstar  was the forth most viewed game on YouTube, with live streams and uploaded videos watched this year were viewed more than 70 billion times, and GTA 5 was released in 2013, seven years after its release, the game is still strong and in the public interest. The game can be played both online and offline. 

5. PUBG MOBILE 

PUBG Mobile, published by Tencent Games was the fifth most viewed game on YouTube, with live streams and uploaded videos being viewed more this year, and released in 2018, PUBG Mobile revolutionized mobile gaming overall. The game has generated $ 3 billion in revenue by July 2020.
